These homes tend to be two- or three-bedroom, mid-century homes with Spanish architectural influences.

These builders offer custom-built homes ranging from the low $500s to luxury homes over $1 million.

Additionally, residents can enjoy many amenities, including neighborhood parks, such as Grant Park, Seaside Wilderness Park, Century Park, Marina Park, and Blanche Reynolds Park. Beaches offer residents an opportunity to relax by the Pacific Ocean and participate in many water sports. Famous beaches in the area include Harbor Cove Beach and San Buenaventura State Beach.
A popular attraction in Ventura is the Ventura Pier and Promenade, where residents can enjoy dining, shopping, and entertainment along the water. Highways 1, 101, 126, and 33 run through Ventura, providing residents easy access to neighboring communities, cities, and attractions. It is approximately a 30-minute drive to the city of Oxnard and a one-hour drive to the city of Los Angeles. These cities offer Ventura residents access to more shopping, dining, and entertainment venues. Plus, Los Angeles is home to major attractions, such as Universal Studios, Hollywood, and Disneyland.
The average commute for Ventura residents is approximately 30 minutes. The headquarters of Patagonia, an outdoor clothing manufacturer, is located downtown. It is a major private employer in the city along with Argon ST. The public and educational sectors employ a significant number of people. The County of Ventura, Ventura Unified School District, Ventura College, and the City of San Buenaventura are significant employers. Additionally, the Ventura County Health Care Agency and Community Memorial Hospital are the leading employers in the city's healthcare area.
