The Capistrano Unified School District is responsible for six elementary schools (Truman Benedict, Concordia, Vista Del Mar, Las Palmas, Marblehead, Lobo), three middle schools (Bernice Ayer, Shorecliffs, Vista Del Mar), and San Clemente High School. The high school offers an International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, along with many advanced placement courses. Our Savior’s Lutheran School, Our Lady of Fatima School, and St. Michael’s Christian Academy are private institutions serving elementary/middle school students. Within 20 miles of San Clemente are six colleges and universities with more than 2,000 students, among them Concordia University-Irvine and the University of California-Irvine.
