Irvine housing market statistics: As of August 7, 2020 there are currently 442 properties for sale in Irvine listed as active, with an average asking price of $1,786,431. The highest-priced property is $19,000,000; the lowest priced property can be purchased for $498,000. Irvine neighbourhood listings have an average price of $541 per square foot, based on listings with 4.0 bedrooms, 3.9 baths, and 3,074 square feet of living space.

Irvine Neighborhood Homes

In December 2016, 471 real estate listings appeared for sale in Irvine, California. Included in those listings were 251 single family homes for sale; 27 townhomes; 177 condos and 16 commercial real estate listings. There were not any listings for lots or land available to buy and develop for new construction / custom homes / home builders.

These real estate listings range widely in home prices, from $200,000 - over $1,000,000, but the median price of homes for homebuyers was $989,000. About 45 of the real estate listings in Irvine were $500,000 or less. Most of the homes for sale (233) fell in the price range of one million dollars and up. With such a wide range of home prices, many prospective homeowners will be able to find a home within their budget.

Irvine Community Amenities

The Irvine Fine Arts Center provides residents with an art studio that is fully equipped. At the center, Irvine residents can participate in art classes, open studio programs, attend events and view exhibitions. The open studio program allows Irvine residents who have previous experience in the arts to pursue their projects using the equipment at the center. Examples of projects that residents are involved in include photography, jewelry, ceramics, and printmaking.

The Center also hosts two very popular annual art events: Holiday Faire in November and Studio Arts Festival in June. These events feature original works of art from Southern California. The art is for sale and various mediums are displayed: ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, painting, photography, fiber, and glass. Open Studio Sessions are an opportunity for individuals with previous experience to independently pursue their art projects using Irvine Fine Arts Center facilities and equipment.

Residents in Irvine have no problem getting around town. Not only is the city bike friendly, but there is plenty of public transportation available as well. The Orange County Transportation Authority operates local bus routes in the city, and the city of Irvine itself has a mass transit bus service called iShuttle. It runs on weekdays and runs between residential areas, major employers, shopping centers and transportation facilities. Four routes run on iShuttle. The Irvine Business Complex area and the Tustin Metrolink are connected by Route A and Route B. Route A also provides service to the John Wayne Airport. Route B goes through Main Street. Route C and Route D provide connections between the Irvine Spectrum area and the Irvine Station. Those routes are particularly helpful for those who live in the residential communities of The Village and The Park. Route D runs to the Kaiser Permanente - Irvine Medical Center, and Hoag Hospital.

Irvine Neighborhood Schools

Students who live in Irvine are served by the Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) of Orange County. This public school district has an enrollment that exceeds 30,000 Kindergarten through twelfth grade students. To serve so many students, the district is comprised of 24 elementary schools, six middle schools, four comprehensive high schools and one continuation high school. Parents can use the School Locator tool and enter a street address to determine which school their child will attend. Schools in IUSD have been nationally recognized, and the students have performed well-above state and national comparisons on standardized tests.
