The real estate market in Huntington Park has seen significant change over the last ten years as the suburb’s population has dropped significantly. However, within the last few years, home prices and sales are on the rise as more people move closer to the downtown area. As of February of 2017, Huntington Park’s median home sale price stood at $365,000. That is about $290 per square foot. Home values have risen about one percent from the same period in 2016. However, the median rent per month in this community stands at about $1925 per month and has grown more than 33 percent in the last year. This is due in part to limited rental inventory and the affordability of homes within the community.
Another key factor impacting the real estate market in Huntington Park is the limited number of homes for sale at any given time. Currently, about 33 homes are available for sale, including both new construction properties and existing homes. The community saw 31 homes sell in the previous three-month span.
There is some availability for new construction in the city. Though land is moderately available here, several custom home builders are available including Park View Homes, Beazer, and California Home Builder.
